Role Models:
1.       Today role- models are extremely important for anyone but especially younger children. A role- model is somebody you look up to or person who serves as an example, whose behavior is emulated by others." A lot of people look up to Snooki from Jersey shore as a role model, but is she really? Today some many television shows are so focused drama! And the more people drink the more drama is usually involved. Today’s society has changed so much that young teens now get excited about watching a group of  younger people who get drunk constantly and  do stupid things. I mean what ever happen to the other shows such as Road Rules, The Gauntlet or the Real World. MTV has laid back on those shows and is now more focused on “drunken drama”.  It really is pathetic, I still find myself excited about watching Jersey Shore but when I really think about it I’m just excited to watch a group go people get drunk an do stupid things. I mean I could be famous for that. It’s really funny when you think about it and realize what we are actually watching. There is no a main point to  the show and its defiantly not giving off a good example  ,  If anything it is driving teens to drink and act like a bunch of fools. The show the Road Rules challenge may have involved drama and drinking but at least the show had a point to it. The show was based on beating theses challenges and winning money. The challenges actually, made there contestants think and they pushed the re bodies physically to win a challenge. After watching Jersey shore I feel like anyone could be famous if MTV wanted to make them famous. I don’t know how far or how many season Jersey Shore will have but hopefully MTV will come out with different shows that a least have a little more meaning. The article “Jersey Shore” portrays unreal depiction of our generation made some extremely good points not only about Jersey shore but the shows MTV   puts on air:
“The often violent debauchery of the “Jersey Shore” cast of 20-something year olds makes for reality-TV-gold. But this portrayal of my generation is disappointing and hardly ‘real’. Luckily, MTV has been moving in a less asinine direction with shows like “World of Jenks” and “If You Really Knew Me.”
Since the launch of “The Real World” in 1992, ‘reality’ shows have become a staple of MTV’s lineup. “The Real World” itself has gained a reputation as a showcase for the immature and irresponsible behavior of young adults who are taken from their actual lives and put in a situation where they are expected to “stop being polite and start getting real.” Twenty-four seasons’ worth of this version of reality has consisted of mostly fighting, partying, and having sex; a lot like “Jersey Shore.”  Honestly, this type of reality can get boring when you’ve seen it in so many shows before”
When Angelina and Snooki of “Jersey Shore” brawl (because of a guy), the other cast members stand around laughing like it’s a joke. But the fact that these women can’t find a better way than punching each other to resolve conflicts is not funny.
And then there is the issue of the reality of the violence. When one of the “Jersey Shore” girls, nicknamed Jwoww, finally interrupts the fight, she begins the interruption wearing light-colored socks. The camera switches to a different angle and Jwoww’s feet are bare. Behold, magically disappearing and reappearing socks” .
